Why write a short, single-subject cookbook?
You asked!
Over the years, so many readers have asked if I could write a cookbook with just cookie recipes, just breakfast recipes, just Paleo. The answer was always, "I would love to, but my publisher said no..."
Publishing cookbooks the traditional way, like I've done since 2011, is a long and difficult process. The entire lifecycle of one of my full cookbooks from contract deal to publication is a year or more.
So we're trying something new...
I still love writing cookbooks, but after 10 years of publishing recipes, I’ve decided to step away from publishing books with a traditional publisher for now.
I’m more comfortable speaking directly to you, as I’ve done since 2009. And when you give me feedback, I can respond right away and make changes going forward.
By creating short books with niche subjects, I can respond quickly to the sort of books you want now. And I'm free to write cookbooks of all types, starting with this first micro book, No Bake Desserts.
Why start with No Bake Desserts?
Gluten free baking can seem hard enough, and anyway it's summertime. So let's start with something so straightforward, it requires no time in the oven.
